OBESITY & DIABETES IN RAMADAN

OBESITY & DIABETES IN RAMADAN

It's a double celebration in Cheras Baru Health Clinic, Kuala Lumpur. Marking the beginning of the holy fasting month for Muslim by addressing two of the biggest health concern of our time, obesity and diabetes.

We have talks by the Family Medicine Specialist on Ramadan fasting for patients with diabetes and the benefits of fasting from obesity management perspective. This is followed by talks by our Diabetes Educator and Pharmacist on healthy eating and medications during Ramadan fasting. There were also question and answer sessions for the participants afterward. We are grateful to the participants and to have Dr Wong Ping Foo and Dr Ariff Fahmi, both of whom are council members of Malaysia Obesity Society. Changing systems, healthier lives!
